Just How "Exemplary"
is Lovejoy ISD?
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) just
released their state accountability ratings, and here is what
LISD superintendent Ted Moore had to say about Lovejoy ISD...
Exemplary Schools
"The Texas Education Agency (TEA)
released state accountability ratings for all campuses and school
districts in the State of
Texas
on Wednesday August 1, 2007. In order for a campus or district to be
rated exemplary, the TAKS results for each subject tested must be at
or above 90% passing. In addition, the SDAA II, the test given to
students with disabilities, must also show at least 90% passing. All
four Lovejoy ISD campuses-Hart Elementary, Lovejoy Elementary,
Lovejoy Middle School, and Lovejoy High School earned the Exemplary
rating. According to the TEA, statewide 637 campuses earned the
Exemplary rating which is 7.9% of all campuses in the state; Lovejoy
ISD was one of 27 districts earning the Exemplary rating. According
to the TEA data, the 27 Exemplary districts would translate as 2.2%
of all school districts in the State of
Texas. Our students and our teachers are to be
commended for a job well done."
As you can see,
Lovejoy ISD is living up to its reputation!!! Thank you to all our
wonderful students, parents and educators!
